I studied the Slavic languages and literatures and became a Slavic philologist. I taught Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, and Serbian, both aspects: the contemporary languages and their historical developments.

Slavophilism as a Renaissance Humanist Myth in Mauro Orbini’s “Il Regno Degli Slavi”

Orbini promoted the concept of the sovereign Slavic peoples in the pre-modern period. He skillfully designed a glorious Slavic past by borrowing from the well-supplied warehouse of Renaissance myths.
